Aphasia Support Group at Iberia Medical Center

First meeting scheduled for July 8

In collaboration with the Aphasia Center of Acadiana, Iberia Medical Center is hosting monthly aphasia support group meetings.  Aphasia is a brain impairment that can affect speech, understanding, reading and writing.  Aphasia results from brain injury including stroke, head trauma, brain tumors and some types of diseases or infections.

The support group meetings will be held on the second Friday of every month and will include guest speakers and support and caregiver conversation.

Location: Meeting Room 2, Iberia Medical Center North Campus, 600 N. Lewis Street.  Meeting room entrance faces Andre Street.

Time: 10 am
