Gestational diabetes can be a difficult diagnosis for expecting mothers, but we want you to know that you are not alone. Gestational diabetes is a condition in which your blood sugar levels become high during pregnancy. A hormone made by the placenta prevents the body from using insulin effectively. Most women with gestational diabetes have healthy pregnancies by maintaining a healthy diet, daily exercise, testing blood sugar and monitoring overall health.
