Iberia Medical Center Welcomes Dr. Robert York

Iberia Medical Center welcomes Dr. Robert York, General Surgeon, to the medical staff. Dr. York joins Dr. Kurt O’Brien, General Surgeon and Daphne Landry, Nurse Practitioner, in practice at their Iberia Medical Center Main Campus office, 2309 East Main Street, Suite 500.

Dr. York was most recently Chief of Surgery at Cabrini Surgery Center in Alexandria, where he served on the Center’s Medical Executive Committee. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Shreveport and completed his general surgery residency at Wright State University Medical School in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. York is trained in the latest surgical techniques and procedures and is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

The surgical practice specializes in colon and rectal surgery, hernia surgery, gallbladder/spleen removal, breast surgery, esophageal surgery and wound surgery. 

Dr. York's official start date is July 3, 2023.
